About the event
Studies estimate that Scope 3 emissions can make upto 75% (or even higher) of a company's GHG emissions on average. Helping suppliers towards green transition is now a company’s strategic imperative to help reduce risk, lead responsibly, and achieve its net-zero targets
In this session, Volvo Group and IKEA Supply will share how they are helping their suppliers accelerate their green transition through adoption of RE thereby cutting down their CO2 emissions drastically through innovative strategies and collaborative efforts.
Volvo Group India helped suppliers cut emissions by 56% (55K tonnes of CO₂) and boosted renewable energy use from 18% to 35% between 2022-24 and IKEA Supply India’s efforts helped their suppliers increase their renewable electricity use from 9.5% to 69% cutting emissions by 37% (35K tonnes of CO₂) between 2021–23.
Shobhit Srivastava, Sustainability Developer at IKEA Supply, and Caleb Nirmal, Head of Supply Network Quality and Resiliency at Volvo Group will be leading the talk
