Finnair, one of the world´s oldest operating airlines, was first established on 1 November 1923. In 2007, Finnair carried over 9 million passengers to over 50 destinations across the world, and its turnover was EUR 198.6 million.India Operations:-Finnair launched scheduled non-stop flights between Delhi and Helsinki on 31st October 2006. Initially, the route was operated three times a week. From 19 May 2007 it went up to a daily operation. The Delhi route was Finnair´s tenth Asian destination and a natural continuation of Finnair´s Asian strategy. Finalnd´s geographical position on the air route between Europe and Asia means that Finnair offers the fastest connection from Western Europe to Asia. The Helsinki - Delhi route takes just 6 hours and 40 minutes. Finnair started scheduled non-stop flights between Mumbai and Helsinki on 27 June 2007. At present, the route operates five times a week and will increase to six times a week effective June 2008. Finnar is present in India with an office in Delhi since May 2006 and Mumbai since May 2007.
